Terms of service.

Last updated: July 29, 2026

These terms apply to Orvelle orders worldwide. Mandatory customer rights in your country remain unaffected.

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern purchases from and use of Orvelle Editions. By placing an order, submitting materials, or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Orvelle creates personalized, made-to-order hardcover books from the information, photographs, and other materials customers provide.

Orders and eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your country or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for providing complete, accurate order, contact, and delivery information.

An order is accepted when payment is confirmed. Orvelle may decline or cancel an order that cannot be fulfilled, in which case the affected payment will be refunded.

Customer materials

You retain ownership of the photographs, stories, names, and other original materials you submit. You give Orvelle a limited permission to use those materials only to create, revise, print, deliver, and support your order.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the materials and to ask Orvelle to reproduce them. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, abusive, or exploitative content.

Pricing, payment, and taxes

Prices and available options are shown at checkout. Payment is collected when the order is placed through the payment provider shown at checkout.

Shipping charges, taxes, customs duties, import fees, and currency-conversion charges may vary by destination. Unless checkout states otherwise, the customer is responsible for destination-country duties and fees.

Proofs and revisions

Every edition includes a digital PDF proof before printing. One revision round is included. Additional revision work may be offered for a fee disclosed before that work begins.

You are responsible for reviewing names, dates, text, illustrations, layout, and other details. Printing begins only after you approve the proof. Approval confirms that the proof is ready for production.

Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel for a full refund at any time before approving the final proof. After proof approval, the personalized book enters production and the order cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded for preference-based reasons.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived in your country or region.

Production and delivery

Proof, production, shipping, and delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Timing begins only after Orvelle has received the information and materials needed for the relevant stage.

Delays may result from revision requests, incomplete information, carrier conditions, customs review, supply constraints, severe weather, or other events outside Orvelle's reasonable control.

Shipping and international orders

Orders are delivered to the address supplied at checkout. You are responsible for checking that address before production begins and for responding to carrier or customs requests.

International deliveries may be inspected or delayed by customs. Orvelle is not responsible for customs processing times or destination-country charges, but will provide reasonable support with a shipment issue.

Intellectual property

You keep the rights to your submitted original content. Orvelle retains its rights in its brand, service, production methods, illustration approaches, templates, layouts, and other pre-existing materials.

Once paid for, your completed book and approved final book content may be kept, displayed, shared, and reproduced for personal, non-commercial use. No rights are granted to reuse Orvelle's brand or production materials as a competing service.

Privacy and communications

Personal information and submitted materials are handled under the Orvelle Privacy Policy. Service emails about payment, proofs, revisions, production, and delivery are part of fulfilling your order.

Marketing messages, where offered, are separate and may be declined without affecting an order.

Service limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orvelle's total liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. Orvelle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Global customer rights

Orvelle serves customers in multiple countries. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply where the law requires them, regardless of these terms.

Any governing-law or dispute provision should reflect Orvelle's legal place of business and be reviewed by qualified counsel before being added.

Changes and contact

Orvelle may update these terms for future orders. The version in effect when you place an order governs that order unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. Questions about these terms or an order may be sent through the contact page.

Review our Privacy Policy or contact Orvelle with questions.
